The director of the Idaho Falls Choralaires this season is Sharon Tracy Ricks. She is a music educator, choral and stage performer who is a native of Idaho Falls. Sharon graduated from Bonneville High School and Brigham Young University, graduating in Elementary Education with a music minor. Her stage experience includes vocal ensembles, lead roles in HMS Pinafore, Because of Elizabeth, The Brothers and stage parts in Annie Get Your Gun, Shenandoah and Carousel. She has directed choirs in Idaho Falls, Thousand Oaks, California, Meridian, Idaho and Issaquah, Washington, and has produced and directed musical stage productions in Idaho Falls, Boise and Bellevue, Washington. She is a performer and instructor of voice, piano and organ, with experience in the Idaho Falls Sounds Choir, BYU Women's Chorus and the BYU University Chorale. Sharon is married to Norman Ricks of Idaho Falls and has 3 children and 8 grandchildren.
