Please read the attached rules carefully to avoid disqualification of your student from any or all of their events. Contact your Festival chair if you have any specific questions.

Please fill out the following form with each student’s information if they are planning to participate in Festival. It needs to be returned to your Group Chairman by October 5th, 2023

2024 Senior Vocal Musicianship
Each year the Senior division vocalists have changing musicianship requirements. Here is where you will find the 2024 requirements.
Senior Division Vocalists (Freshman through Seniors) and Continuing Ed
1. Sing ONE of three minor ascending and descending scales (Natural, Harmonic, or Melodic) with proper solfege. The Vocal Festival coordinator will choose what minor scale is to be sung for that year, and inform each teacher so they can prepare their students accordingly.
This 2024 year is:
Sopranos and Tenors: d minor
Altos and Basses: b flat minor
2. Sing ONE of three ascending and descending other triads (Minor, Diminished, or Augmented) with proper solfege. The Vocal Festival coordinator will choose what other triad is to be sung for that year, and inform each teacher so they can prepare their students accordingly.
